Skill India 2016

Raja Sharma & Himansu Tomar have got Second Prize in Mobile Robotics, IndiaSkills Competition 2016. India Skills is India's biggest Skill based Competition steered by Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship(MSDE) and National Skill Development Corporation(NSDC) to select the best talent who will lead India's participation at the biennial World Skills International Competition scheduled at Abu Dhabi in 2017.
President Shri Pranab Mukherjee inaugrated this first edition of "India Skills Competition" at Vigyan Bhawan on 15th July, on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day in the gracious presence of Union Ministers Shri Venkaiah Naidu, Smt. Smriti Irani,Shri Prakash Javadekar, Dr. Jitendra Singh and Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
Teams selected in regional competitions from all over India, competed in different 24 skills/trades including Mobile Robotics,Electronics,Graphic Designing etc at Pragati Maidan on 16th-17th July.
The winner teams have been felicitated by the Hon'able Minister of state for skill Development & Entrepreneurship(Independent Charge) with Certificate of achievement,Trophy and 75,000 INR and have qualified for selection of WorldSkills International Competition Abu Dhabi 2017.
