DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

The department is catering to the needs of the industry by training its students in its several well-equipped spacious laboratories to become valuable engineers. It has the following fully equiped laboratries. Networks & Systems Lab. Measurement Lab. Electrical Machines Lab. Power Electronic Lab. Control System Lab. Instrumentation Lab. Basic Engineering Lab. Computer Aided Design (CAD) Lab. CAD Lab The Only one of its kind in U.P., with 30 computers. The lab has 30 user MATLAB 6.5 (Release 13) software with Power System, Non-Linear Control Design, Communication Blockset & Control System, communication, Signal Processing toolbox as well as Report generator. All analysis & simulation work can be done. The Lab also has ORCAD PSPICE Engineering suite for preparing Schematics, Analysis & Simulation, Optimization & PCB layout for different circuits. This lab is extensively used for final year project of B.E. students. Very soon there will be additions of DSP, Instrumentation Control, Fuzzy Logic, Neural N/W toolboxes in the MATLAB. Micro Controller programmer is also available & is widely used for embedded systems programming of final year projects.
