It provides education to meet challenges of emerging knowledge based society, with new order based on the principle of 3‘Rs’, that is-

Main Activities of August 2007

 

Ø       New Director Dr OmVikas has joined the college on August 1, 2007.

 

Ø       Admissions- Total annual intake for session 2006-07 is 600 students in different branches-

ECE – 120                              EEE - 60

CSE – 120                              ME  - 60

MCA- 120                              IT    - 60

MBA-60

Ø       Independence Day (August 15, 2007) - 60th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great pleasure, enthusiasm and patriotic feelings. After flag hoisting, Chairman Shri SS Jain, Director General Dr Ajay Sharma and Director Dr OmVikas addressed to the IPEC family. Students performed cultural programme. A magazine, ‘BioEdu.Com’, of Biosciences and IT campus, was released on this occasion.

Ø       Dr. Santosh Kumar, Department of Mathematics, wrote a book  for the students of BTech, MCA, BSc and MSc, studying in  Indian Universities-

Computer Based Numerical and Statistical Techniques. Santosh Kumar (2007-08). S Chand Publications, New Delhi.

Ø        Deeksharambha Programme (August 16-18, 2007)- 3 days induction programme, including ‘invocation’, welcome and introduction by concerned HODs, faculties and senior students, ‘College Darshan’, soft skill development programme, T&P cell and registrar office’s activities, was conducted to inculcate human values during transit to graduation. It was a great success and appreciated by all new comers. Unanimously they recommended for its conduction every year.

 

Ø       Leadership Development Programme (August 16- 18, 2007) - This was for the first year students following the Deeksharambha. They were told about importance of leadership and qualities required to be a good leader. The concept was explained with live examples by student mentors from senior classes during the whole Deeksharambha Programme.

Three speakers Mr Ashim Kapoor (Wing Commandar, IAF), Mr Damnish Kumar (Mg Director, HiTech Professionals) and Mr Shyam Motiyani (CSC) were invited speakers. The inputs provided by them were highly valuable.

For promoting leadership qualities in fresh comers, various activities like skits, debate, antyakshari, singing and group discussion were successfully organized by senior student mentors. Feedback was overwhelming.

Ø                   Department wise meetings were conducted by Director to know about existing problems and suggestions regarding infrastructure facility, teaching methodology and industrial interaction in order to achieve excellence in the emerging knowledge of economy.
