Basic Sciences contribute to the foundations of numerous professions and industries. On the other hand, one has the urge to create new scientific knowledge driven by intellectual curiosity besides the desire to have reliable information for the application.
Basic sciences and research are recognized as the most important tools in creating a pool of thinkers and world leaders in science and technology. Science and technology-driven economy in the world have sustained an edge in developmental goals in the world. In India, basic science and research has gained popularity and relevance in higher education through various governmental initiatives like NPL, NTSE and setting up of institutions like IISER.
The various departments that merge under Applied Sciences and Humanities department are Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Humanities. Engineering programmes have the distinct objective of equipping the students with knowledge, skills and attitude in engineering and technology. To make them capable of successfully meeting the present requirement and future challenges in the engineering profession. Value-oriented education plays a vital role in every human being’s life and Applied Science and Humanities department is striving relentlessly to develop IPEC into a centre of excellence by imparting value education for technical and professional upliftment of its students.
Applied Science And Humanities Department can boast of its qualified and competent faculty which is an asset for Inderprastha Engineering College. The faculty is in constant touch with various experts in the relevant field and is open and willing to experiment with the latest ideas in teaching.
