1. The Channel Tunnel

The Channel Tunes is a 50 km underwater rail tunnel that links Folkstone, England, and Coquilles, France beneath the English Channel.Visiting this place is pretty easy. You can choose to ride through a car, a bus or a train and without any hassle, you will be there. What looks like an ordinary tunnel is actually 250ft under the seabed tunnel that makes it so special. Take your chances and feel the beauty of this tunnel which got completed almost after 200 years after its blueprint was made by Albert Mathieu in 1802.

2. Millau Viaduct

Leaving behind the Eiffel Tower which is 986 ft, Millau Viaduct stands as tall as Empire State Building (1250 ft). The highest tower reaches about 1125ft and is famous as the tallest cable-stayed road bridge in the world.You will be surprised that this beauty came into life because of the traffic conditions on the route from the city of Love- Paris to Barcelona. Millau Viaduct is about 8km long.Millau Viaduct is close to 900 ft high and that’s why there had to be a different technique that was used by engineers back then in building this bridge. So after building the towers, engineers constructed the roadway on either side of the towers and then rolled the two sides into the center. The engineers took some risk but they were successful.

3. Palm Islands, Dubai

Palm islands happen to be the world’s largest set of man-made islands. Located in Dubai, off the coast of the UAE in the Persian Gulf. This beautiful place consists of Two Islands, Two of the islands, the Palm Jumeirah and the Palm Jebel Ali, are well in shape while the third and the largest one of the islands, Palm Deira, is still under construction. All three islands are in the shape of a palm tree. There lies a crescent-shaped rock encircling the top of each island, which gave it the name.This particular island has a variety of hotels, health spa theme parks, and high-end homes, etc.

4. The Bailong Elevator

The Bailong Elevatorlies in China. Built alongside the enormous cliff in the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, The Bailong Elevator happens to be the heaviest outdoor elevator in the world. The Bailong Elevator is known as the Hundred Dragons Elevator also. The time taken to ride from the base to the top is about 2 minutes and can carry around 50 people in one go.

5. Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge

Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge happens to be the world’s longest sea bridge and tunnel. It connects Hong Kong to mainland China via Macau.Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge is stretched for about 55km (34 miles). This bridge is about 20 times the length of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge and can withstand any natural calamity like typhoons, ship strikes, and earthquakes, etc.
