IPEC - Center of Excellence

A memorandum of understanding have been signed on 30th Sept. 2016 between NISWA Industrial automation training & Inderprastha Engineering College. Initially a batch of 60 students are getting training for a period of 2 months, 3 days for 2 hours/week. The objective of this collaboration is to promote and enhance academic interest between NISWA industrial automation training & Inderprastha Engineering College and advice for implementation of quality of education at NIAT.

The objective of this course is to bring the context of human living into the classroom. While current education is able to provide information & skills via the method of memorization & analysis, it fails to touch upon the basic aspects of human living.

It is amply clear that the current content and context of education is materialistic in nature – it predominantly involves the study of the formful, material aspects of nature leading to a material outcome – of a consumerist lifestyle & society. While this ensures physical comfort, it is both unsatisfying to us as Humans as well as detrimental to nature.

Fundamental aspects like understanding of the Self, understanding the nature & purpose of human relationships, living in family & society, and our relationship with nature are completely ignored, or at best addressed in a half hearted manner in prevalent education.

This course aims to reduce that gap and point both students and teachers in the right direction by providing them with the relevant content needed.

This ‘alternative view’ of study and life can be provided to students so they may appreciate the need for living with human values and human-consciousness and make efforts to study & practice the same.

Inderprastha Engineering College is the first institution in India where Fronius installed Professional Welding Lab (PWL) setup having all the advanced welding machines. Fronius, an Austria based MNC, is a global technology leader in welding and charging solutions.

Fronius Professional Welding Lab contains three working stations of Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and other related accessories. This facility also has a teach setup including a cut section of all the torches used with these machines. All the machines are directly imported from Austria.

It is a state of art facility developed in IPEC to promote welding education and make the students ready for the industry. It makes the students aware of the technologies used in the fabrication industry and promotes hands-on training to boost their technical skill.

TI Center of excellence organised a training session on MSP-430 and Internet of things for students and faculty of Department of ECE. The session was organised in collaboration with Edgate Technologies Bangaluru from 7th to 9th September 2017. Mr.Asif from Edgate technologies delivered training to participants. Workshop was attended by 47 students and 16 faculty members. Workshop was divided into 6 sessions in which theoretical concepts of MSP-430 F-series, G-series, CC3200 and along with programming of these modules using CCS (Code Composer Studio) in Embedded C were covered during session. Participants performed various experiments on MSP430F5529, MSP430G2553 and CC3100 board. Ms. Ritu Agarwal and Mr. Pratik Purohit coordinated the session. Following topics were covered during session:
