Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC), in collaboration with
Engineer Club NCR and
IPEC-TBI Foundation, celebrated Engineers’ Day with grandeur and enthusiasm, paying tribute to the “Father of Indian Engineering,”
Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.
The ceremony began with the traditional lamp-lighting by Mr. Rajesh Kumar Jain, Chief General Manager, SJVN Ltd. (Ministry of Power); Mr. Amrish Garg, President, Engineer Club NCR; Mr. Satyam Agarwal, Secretary; Mr. Basant Goyal, Treasurer; Prof. (Dr.) Amit Jain, Dean Academics, IPEC; Ms. Priyanka Gupta, CEO, IPEC-TBI; and Prof. (Dr.) Meenakshi Sharma, Dean Student Welfare & IQAC.
Working Model Competition Highlights
The highlight of the day was the
Working Model Competition, which saw enthusiastic participation from both college students and school students across Ghaziabad.
🏫 School Category Winners:
- From Sector-6 School, students Parth and Yash secured the First Prize (₹3000) for their AI-based Interactive Learning Machine.
- Students Abhishek and Mohit from Swami Vivekanand Saraswati Vidya Mandir won the Second Prize (₹2000) for their Waste Management model.
- Sanjana and Raghav impressed everyone with their Blind Spectacles Project and were awarded the Third Prize (₹1000).
🎓 College Category Winners:
- Ranjan Kumar, Muskan Rai, and Punit Kumar Gautam bagged the First Prize (₹3000) for their project on Food Distribution & Segregation.
- Ankush Kumar and Bamesh secured the Second Prize (₹2000) for their Waste Management Solutions.
- Anand Kaushik, Ansh Rathore, and Akash Patel won the Third Prize (₹1000) for their work on Sustainable Energy.
Poster Presentation Competition
The
Poster Presentation Competition further amplified the celebration, with students presenting innovative ideas across domains such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnology, and Mechanical Engineering.
All winners received cash prizes, certificates, and appreciation from the dignitaries.
Words of Inspiration
On this occasion,
Mr. Satyam Agarwal highlighted how Engineer Club NCR has been working with senior officials and retired engineers across government organizations to mentor young students and nurture innovation. The dignitaries also emphasized that today’s engineers are the true architects of nation-building and must strive to become “Samarth Engineers” of the future.
The event concluded with immense appreciation for the creativity and innovative spirit of the participants, reinforcing IPEC’s commitment to fostering innovation, research, and social development through technology.
