The AICTE Sponsored Five-Day Innovation, Design & Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp 2026, organized from 06–10 April 2026 at Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC), Ghaziabad, emerged as a landmark initiative in nurturing innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup culture among young minds. IPEC successfully hosted this prestigious residential bootcamp with a grant of ₹11 lakh from AICTE. Conducted in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), the program brought together aspiring innovators, mentors, industry experts, startup founders, and ecosystem leaders on a common platform to transform ideas into impactful entrepreneurial ventures. The five-day bootcamp offered participants an immersive learning experience covering the complete innovation and startup journey—from Design Thinking, Problem Identification, Customer Discovery, Value Proposition Design, and Lean Canvas Development to Prototype Creation, MVP Validation, Financial Planning, Commercialization, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), and Startup Funding.
Through hands-on workshops, mentoring sessions, business model development exercises, and startup simulations, participants gained practical exposure to solving real-world challenges. The sessions were expertly facilitated by Dr. Neelam Saxena, Prof.(Dr.) Sachin Gupta, and Dr. M. Chitra from the Wadhwani Foundation, along with distinguished experts including Mr. Sajid Raza (CEO, IPEC-TBI), Mr. Rehan Ahmad (CEO Incubation, MIET), and Mr. Bir Bahadur Mishra (Founder & CEO, Skilled India Engineer Pvt. Ltd.), ensuring a rich blend of academic insights and industry perspectives.
A key highlight of the bootcamp was the strong engagement with the startup ecosystem through interactions with successful entrepreneurs such as Rishabh Bhardwaj (Founder, Vayu Solar), Sumedha Mehta (Founder, Vann Essentials), and Rajat Johari (Founder, Skiller Education Pvt. Ltd.), who shared their entrepreneurial journeys, challenges, and success stories. The participants also undertook an Incubator Visit to the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi, where they gained first-hand exposure to a thriving innovation and startup ecosystem. During the visit, participants explored incubation facilities, interacted with startup founders and innovators, understood the role of incubation centres in venture development, and learned about mentorship, funding support, technology commercialization, and networking opportunities available to emerging entrepreneurs. This experiential exposure significantly enhanced their understanding of how innovative ideas are transformed into successful startups.
The grand culmination of the bootcamp was the Mega Pitch Arena and Valedictory Ceremony, where participants presented their startup ideas before an eminent jury comprising leading investors, incubator heads, innovators, and industry experts including Divyanshu Yadav, Awadesh Kumar, Sanjeev Malik, Mahendra Kumar Gupta, Naveen Chopra, Vivek Gupta, Rahul Aggarwal, Abhishek Dhar, Vishal Gandhi, Vivek Singh, Ansh Talraja, and Imran Yusuf.
The valedictory session was graced by Dr. Nalin Srivastava, Scientist-E, Ministry of Electronics &; Information Technology, Government of India, as the Chief Guest, and Shri Jaspal Singh Aujla, Chief General Manager, Energy Efficiency Services Limited (Ministry of Power), as the Guest of Honour. Their inspiring addresses encouraged participants to embrace innovation, take calculated risks, and contribute towards building technology-driven and socially impactful enterprises. Overall, the IDE Bootcamp 2026 successfully created a vibrant ecosystem of innovation, collaboration, creativity, and entrepreneurship at IPEC. The program significantly enhanced participants; problem-solving abilities, entrepreneurial mindset, startup readiness, communication skills, and innovation capabilities.
By connecting students with accomplished mentors, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and incubation leaders, the bootcamp empowered them to transform ideas into viable solutions and future ventures. The overwhelming enthusiasm, quality of innovations presented, and active participation throughout the program reaffirmed IPEC's commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and developing the next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators, and changemakers for India.
