Objective: The main objective of CAD of electronics laboratory is to familiarize undergraduate ECE students with the design concepts of analog and digital circuits and also to analyze their operation using computer aided design tools. Students will carry out simulation and analysis of analog and digital building blocks and their application in the field of modern high speed electronics, communication, instrumentation, digital signal processing systems using Computer Aided Design "CAD" tools. Effort is to bridge the gap between knowledge of an undergraduate engineer and skill set desired by the industry. Orcad , PSPICE is used to simulate BJT, NMOS, and CMOS based circuits whereas Xilinks and VHDL is used for the synthesis and simulation of digital circuits. Major CAD Tools and Equipment

Types of Project (R& D/ Consultancy) that can be carried out in the laboratory: Speech Processing, Image Processing, Adaptive Signal Processing, Signal Compression, Digital Filter design, DSP-FPGA based projects.
Laboratory Incharge : Ms. Manpreet Kaur Technical Staff : Mr. S.P. Verma Objective: In integrated circuits lab, experimental verification of IC parameters is done. Design and implementation of various circuits such as function generator, analog filters, multi vibrators, voltage regulators, AGC amplifier and oscillators etc. using ICs such as op-amp, timer, multiplier and PLL as building blocks. Observation and calculation of various performance parameters of the circuits is also done. The main aim is to gain knowledge on performance of the circuit and its applications. The circuits are implemented using TL082, LM741, NE555, ASLK, MPY634KP, power supply, function generator and oscilloscope. These circuits are also simulated over Orcad Pspice and results are compared with those of practical set-up. This lab provides students with knowledge of how smaller circuit becomes an integrated part of a larger system. Equipment
